Giulia Giaretta was born in Padua on 10 October 1989.
After graduating from classical studies, in 2014 she graduated in Chemical Sciences for conservation and restoration in Venice and in the meantime gained experience at the ancient book restoration laboratory of the Praglia Abbey in Teolo. In 2017 she graduated in illustration and digital painting at the International School of Comics in Padua.
Since 2014 she has carried out the activity of "Il Papiro Patavino" (www.ilpapiropatavino.it) and produces drawings, caricatures and decorated letters to support her studies, as well as paintings and illustrations for private clients.
In 2019 she won the "Papirista dell'anno" award, given by the Unipapiro association and by the 8 February Committee "for innovative work, quality of design and respect for traditions".
Some of her illustrations will soon be published on the 800th anniversary of the foundation of the University of Padua.
In June 2019 she exhibited some of her works at the "I Fumetti del Dese" exhibition in Piombino Dese and in the same year she took part with her illustration for the story "Il contest" in the project "Racconti Crestati".
In 2020 she won the audience award of the Insidecomics #4 contest at the Becomics festival, Padua.
In autumn 2020 one of her works was selected for the “Lucca Junior-Premio Sossi” exhibition and in 2021 it was exhibited at the Lucca Comics & Games festival.
